This is an 9x12” detailed hand-painted watercolor based on a reference photo you will need to submit of the dogs (I will contact you for the photo within 72 hours of purchase). The dogs will appear in the finished painting against a blank/unpainted background. While I am happy to include at no additional cost loosely-rendered accessories, such as collars, tags and leashes, I will need to provide a quote for painting more complicated items, including toys, dog costumes, flower crowns/other dog headgear, dog harnesses, dog clothing/footwear, or detailed backgrounds.
PROCESS AND TURN AROUND TIME:
Upon receipt of your order, you will receive, within 72 hours of purchase, a request for a clear reference photo of the two animals as you would like him/her to appear in the painting. I will also email you tips for selecting strong reference photos that will allow me to see the subtleties of your dogs' coat and features. If I need additional photos, I will let you know.
Within 3 business days of sending me the reference photo, you will receive for approval a scan of my pencil sketch of the two dogs together. This is to ensure you are happy with my rendering before I begin painting. Once I begin painting, I am unable to make edits.
Upon approval of the sketch, the final painting will be ready to ship within 14 business days from date on which sketch was approved.
MATERIALS:
All portraits are created on Arches cold press 140 lb. paper using graphite (#2h) pencil and professional grade Daniel Smith and Winsor & Newton watercolor paints. Occasionally, white acrylic is used to highlight certain areas of the work.
PLEASE NOTE:
Given the custom nature of the product, ALL SALES ARE FINAL. I do, however, guarantee the quality of your painting, so if your framed portrait was shipped with a defect or arrived damaged, please contact me via the contact page of this site and I will immediately rectify the problem.
